Continuing Health Care Coverage
If you are recently unemployed, you may be able to take advantage of COBRA continuation or other coverage options to help you maintain health care benefits.
The Pennsylvania Insurance Department provides information about a premium subsidy that can help some COBRA beneficiaries pay for COBRA continuation coverage.
The Insurance Department also has information about 
other health care benefit options that may help individuals who lose their employer-provided health benefits.
Inter-County Non-Group Coverage
We offer non-group conversion coverage to former Inter-County plan members who are no longer covered under their group health plan. If your COBRA eligibility has expired, or if you are not eligible for COBRA continuation, we offer the following plans:
- coverage for medical and surgical services;
- coverage for hospital services — Standard and Comprehensive plans available.
