Inter-County - Student

Parents We care about their care

You’ve always been there for your child: took care of the colds, put on the bandages, made the doctor appointments. And now, you have paid the tuition, selected the meal plan options, purchased the parking permit, reviewed the course schedule — all in preparation for your child to get started with his or her higher learning.

You’ve worked hard to be sure your student is prepared, but what you may not have realized is that your current health care plan may not be enough to cover your student when he or she is away from home. This is especially true if the school your child is attending is outside of your plan’s local service area. Some plans may even stop covering students when they reach a certain age or enrollment status. This could mean large medical bills burdening your child or family.

Inter-County Student Health Plan works with Pennsylvania universities and colleges to develop customized health care plans to meet the needs of the students attending that particular school. We realize that students need affordable coverage that offers extensive access and quality care.

We offer extensive access to network doctors and hospitals in Pennsylvania. And while students can decrease their out-of-pocket costs by using network doctors and hospitals, they have the freedom to choose any doctor and still have coverage. We also coordinate services with student health centers right on campus, making it easier for students to get the care they need when they need it.

Inter-County also gives students the resources, tools, and support they need to manage their health, including a 24/7 toll-free nurse helpline, online account information, decision support services, dedicated student-focused customer service, and much more.
